While studying music and the piano, I was very fortunate to have some fantastic teachers. Because of this, I aim to be an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher to students of all ages and abilities.

I currently teach at Hockerill College in Hertfordshire where I also direct the Jazz Orchestra. I have been a guest director for the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Orchestra. I run big bands and jazz ensembles in schools, work in summer schools and have co-led workshops with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and at the Royal Albert Hall. I also produced and presented the first ever Cheltenham Jazz Festival Concert for Schools in 2017.

I also do one-off day visits to schools nationwide and give specialist coaching to their big bands and jazz ensembles. I will put together a team of musicians who will play in the sections and help the students deliver a great concert to finish the day. There are some photos of our recent visit to Bloxham School below.
